I have a 350 with the number 3970010 on the back of the block and then it has v0815tja on the front. I dont know what it came out of or the year. If you can offer any help i would appriciate it. thanx

 

My information shows the block was used in 69-79. It shows two bolt main-caps. I thought the higher hp ratings used 4 bolt mains.The application was used in car--truck--vette.

I wanted to add, (mortec.com) has a lot of casting numbers. year and applications.

 

4bolt mains are over rated. look under the timing cover, cast on the block there may be either a 010 or a 020 or if you are lucky both will be there.
