Default Why wont my car move?

I have a 85 Chevy Impala, and I have had it sitting for about a year now, but I have been starting it regularly, but have not been moving it at all. Yesterday I tried to move it but it felt like it has been grinding and rubbing something (I don't know). I would push the gas and it would make a deep grinding sound, and felt like the parking brake was applied (But the brake is not applied at all). I can't get up to 10mph without flooring it! Any Help is greatly appreciated. What could be the problem my chevy brothers?

my first guess would be that your brakes are seazed. jack the car up and try turning the wheels they should turn easy.if not then u may have to do some brake work to get it moving beter

JACK THE REAR END OFF THE GROUND AND SEE IF YOU CAN SPIN THE WHEEL BY HAND
