Will a 96 caprice g80 lsd go into a 93 g20 van rear? Both 10bolt
From everything I've researched it should fit, but thought I would ask here before I go ordering gears and a rebuild kit and tearing the caprice apart.
From my research and the rpo codes the caprice should have a 30spline differential but the housing and axles are shorter than my van which uses the older Tbi Chevy truck parts. I want to swap the diff into my truck and run 3.42's. Mine are worn out and the caprice has 2.93 so towing would suck.

My van is a 1993 g20 Beauville with a built motor, about to get the transmission from the caprice too if it's compatible. Any info on transmission differences for the 4l60e?
