im wanting to replace my blazer windshield with another iv'e got,wanting to remove one from a truck i have(in good condition) and then remove the blazer one(pos)is there any tricks to removing the good one out?not really worried about the old one just want the new one to come out without cracking.should i replace the gasket no matter what?...i know someone has done this

The only thing I can think of is pulling out the weather stripping and taking a long razor blade to slice thru the glue, then try to carefully pull/push it out.

Depends on the gasket/seal, if it's reusable it'll be obvious. There's a small nylon tool about the size of a carpenter's pencil that you can't do without to buddy the gasket in with the windshield at the end, it's indispensable. It's kind of like a shoehorn for the gasket. You will need that.

ahhh thats the tool i seen in the video i was watching...thanks for the added help needed rivereye...

I have seen these tools in a couple of the larger parts stores, but not everybody carries them. Check with the largest parts stores in your area.

You can probably order them on the internet.

It cant be that hard , the guy who changed my Tahoe windschield had it out within a few minutes, he did do it for a living tho, yea, I agree get the right tools if you can.
