Wobbling steering wheel inside car ( Cavalier )
Hello all.
I purchased this 2004 4 door sedan that has the 4cylinder automatic .
The issue is the steering wheel yes the wheel inside the car is a big wobbling mess. I purchased it this way and I want to repair this my self. It has tilt steering and this seems to be where it all started.Meaning the it goes up and down and to the left the same amount. Now a month later its about as loose as it can be.Its as if its a swivilling steering wheel is the best I can describe it. At one time as I exited the car I pulled down on the wheel and it snaped or came down but wasn't back up .
It's my second post . Hopefully I can add to the group as much as I receive or better.

I have seen some posts on this problem on that forum. pull the column trim and inspect.
its cheaper to just buy a column from the wrecker. You will have to swap the ignition housing as that is where the theft deterrent resistor is. either swap it or you will have to do a theft deterrent relearn procedure.
