Default Won’t start

So a couple of months ago I washed my truck, and when I was done I went to start it. It wouldn’t start, I knew I needed a new fuel pump so I went ahead and changed the pump, fuel filter, plugs, plug wires and distributor cap.. I checked the relays and they all are in the right places.. it still will not start.. it acts like it’s about to start but it like it’s not getting enough of something to stay running. I’m running out of ideas, can anyone help me out

What year is the truck and what engine does it have? Is the check engine light on if it has one? What are the codes if it is on?

Just to make sure the new fuel pump is working correctly, spray some gas into the throttle body to see if it runs for a few seconds. If it does you still a problem with the fuel system. You can also do a fuel pressure test to test the fuel pump.

It’s getting pressure to it... I’m thinking it’s the distributor cap

Didn't you say that you replaced the distributor cap?

Make sure that the spark plug wires are all in the correct position so that the firing order is correct. You might be getting fuel pressure but are the injectors working? Spraying into the throttle body will answer if it is fuel related.

They are in the correct order, and I’ll be checking out how to look into the injectors

Ok so I did what you said and it runs but I won’t stay running.. I made sure it had direct flow from the tank by removing filter and turning the key in.. pump works.. I cleaning the throttle body, made sure it was getting spark with the coil wire.. I have it narrowed down to a sensor or ignition coil! Do you think it is the fuel injectors?
