Default 2006 HHR Lemon!!!

I bought my hhr back in september 2011. It ran like a dream for about 2 weeks and then all hell broke loose. The breaks went out. I replaced them. Then my storage compartment just pops up when u hit a bump of any kind. Then the ac only works when your driving. Not stopped at lights or stop signs. You have to be moving. Then it was raining and I went through a puddle like everybody else on the road and I got further down the road and my car started shaking and I heard a lot of commotion under hood. I turned the car off and popped hood to find that the fan blades all flew off and went ballistic and knocked a hole in the radiator. Between tow and fixing it cost me $935.14. I called dealership back cuz it runs hot constantly now. It hits 250 and leaves me sitting waiting for it to cool. The work is not covered under warranty and they will fix it for another couple hundred bucks. Just the other day I went to get in the car and it wouldn't crank. It needed a battery. After looking for the battery for 30 minutes I googled it to find its in trunk under the spare lol. Got new battery in and it cranked right up. 60 bucks easy fix!right? Not!!! I got in it to go to work and NO power steering at all. I'm so done. I can't trade it in cuz I owe more than its worth. Dealerships want 2000-3000 bucks along with the hhr as a trade in to get a new car. I called the dealership I got it from and they are no help at all. Everything thing that goes out is not under warranty. Oh and another thing!!! I went to open my car door from inside and the handle broke! Now I have to roll my window down to let myself out. It's all embarrassing. I'm disgusted with Chevy. No one will help. I'm a single mother of 4. The only reason I got a newer car is for warranty and having something dependable. This car has broken down on me so many times. I only had it for10 months. Another thing is when u crank it up it smells like something died. It's horrible! It's broken down on my kids and I've had it! You would think Chevy would want to help me no matter what. Even broken I make my car payments. I can't afford to fix it anymore. I need help! I don't know what to do.

2006 is not exactly a new car. How many miles are on it? Do you have teenagers driving it? If you had bought a 2006 Toyota, Honda or Nissan you would not have even had 1/4 of the problems. Sad that American cars (especially GM) fail apart at a much faster rate then imports.

I know it wasn't new but the mechanic there told me it ran perfect. It had one non smoking owner and it drove great. Everything was up to par. For two weeks that is. No teenagers drive my car. I'm just fed up with it breaking down. I'm not putting any more money into it. My dream car is the camaro. I would do love to get a new 2012-13 camaro ss but after this gm I'm rethinkIng my decisions.
