So I have a 2007 HHR. No check engine light. No codes pulling up on computer (autozone’s). I wish I could describe the sound thoroughly but for that I’d rather post a video (which I can’t…?). Best I can say is that it isn’t clicking. Just “normal” sounds right before a full engine crank. It just doesn’t crank from time to time. And sometimes when it does it sounds very sluggish for a few seconds before it achieves normal rpms and idling.

As I mentioned, no codes being shown. All fuses were checked and good. I put in new spark plugs. Coil packages. And a new starter. Engine is getting gasoline. Still haven’t fixed this issue.

have you bled your fuel rail? Also, replace camshaft sensor near the top of your engine. You can look at the part by Google or you tube. It may help you
