Help!!! I need to know where the Oil Filter is located on my New Chevy HHR. I can't seem to locate the thing.

 

wont the manual tell you where the filter is? if it dosnt you could phone the dearler and they will tell you.

 

the filter is located inside a black cylinder to the right of center as you are looking down at the engine
you have to unscrew a large black plastic hex nut
you do not have to get underneath the car to change the filter

 

yeah..."open filter"...on top of engine...1 3/16" socket and youre there

 

Actually it's an 1 1/4.
