car 06 HHR should have 2.2 will manual transmission, put clutch in car and will not start

Car ran fine wouldn't move before work done, not my first rodeo but too many clowns in arena , angry clowns

Looking at wiring diagram for 06 HHR with 2.2 cam and crank sensors are not in same place as diagram , engine was changed don't know what i have

Only 2 plugs above starter and no plug in place for cam sensor going by 2.2 diagram

Car is a rust bucket, engine ran fine with low miles,

have checked

Fuse under hood good

And following wires by diagram for 06 2.2 HHR this engine must not be same no cam or crank sensors

Fuel pump working, can hear it and smell gas when holding to floor and turning key

Not getting fire? Can't locate cam or crank sensors don't know how many sensors would stop engine from starting

Crushed a plug on transmission, can be seen under hood at rear of transmission, replaced plug and may have crossed wires, color of wires on new plug different, switched wires anyway and nothing changed

Started checking all of the wires by diagram and don't know what engine i have or what's been changed , don't think it is 06 HHR 2.2

Don't know what sensors work together allowing coils to fire or how/what to bypass to get fire

Know clutch sensor working, car will not turn over without pushing it

Everything is plugged in

Have check engine light on, cheap reader says no codes

Before working on only had evap code for gas cap , cleaned cap no code

What is engine if not 2.2 ?

 

does it crank over no start or no crank?
