I was going to change the headlight on my sister's 2007 HHR and since you have to remove the plastic wheel well liner I thought I would turn the wheel in to get some more room. But like a dummy I turned the wheel with it off thinking I can move it like on my 2003 Silverado, but now the wheel is locked and the ignition switch is pushed in! What can I do?

usually you just have to keep playing with steering wheel & it will unstick

 

turn the steering wheel and hold it...to put some tension on the steering lock linkage...with tension on the wheel....you should be able to turn the key. try both directions
