Default Water leak

Bought a new 2007 HHR and started having water leaking on to the passager floorboard,About a half gallon after a rain, then looked to see if the butyl patch was ruined and found that there isn't one. Then it started making a noise when I turned left or right and it's still leaking water a little but not as much since it has'nt rained. If there never was a buyyl patch I wonder why it took 3 years to start leaking and wondering if the lines might be clogged. Thanks
