Default 00" impala, no start, gas gauge reads empty

hello all. i decided to make a video to better explain and save me a bit of typing. long story short, key was stuck in "off" i cut the parking lock cable, went to a lock smith, they removed the bent pins, i reinstalled, and all was well. drove it around all day and it ran like a top. came out to it today to this no start condition, and the gas gauge reading zero. (i assume this is due to no voltage to the fuel pump, as i do not hear it run when i turn the key on)

please take a look at the video to see exactly what its doing. thanks alot all! im at a complete and total loss.

also, a picture of my crappy (but functional) solder joints made with a barley working butane lighter in -4*F

Maybe while removing and installing the key cylinder the actual switch with the wires was damaged and is not functioning properly.

UPDATE:

the car did indeed have a bad ignition switch. i took apart the switch and found 4 little tiny springs rattling around. must have killed it trying to get the key to turn.

car has been fine for almost a week now!

this $895 dealer fix cost me $50.00! needless to say, im happy with the result. thanks alot for the reply!
