I have a 2002 impala and i am hearing popping noises mostly when i am turning left or right but it sounds like it is coming from the driver side. i also hear it random times when jus driving str8. i was told it was my cv axles but i replaced them and i am still hearing it on the driver side. someone told me tht one of my boots on my new cv axle has a hole in it and it is slingin the grease from inside there all around. this is the one on my driver side. so im guessin that maybe it is still that but others have told me that the axle isnt even the problem. can someone help me out please?

 

Does it happen when you turn the wheel from a stand still? or just when you accelerate out of a turn?
