i have an 02 impala 3400 edition
the gauges in the 3400 edition dont have a tachometer..
if i got a gauge cluster from a 3800 would it fit in my car? and would i need any other wiring for the tachometer?
any answers will be apreciated

 

Nope plug in play. Make sure and get a 02+ cluster. I have an impala SS from an 04 in mine. Also you will need to make sure it has a volt gauge and not a boost one. You oil pressure gauge wont work either. RPM will work and speed0 will be at 140 instead of 120.
It would be smart to get your milage transfered onto your new cluster to help with milage fraud

oh ok.. an ideas were to get one? should i just go to a yard and pick 1 up or should i order it from a website?and how would u transfer the mileage over? would u have to go to a dealer?

 

You can get one from a junkyard, or I know a guy that has them. You cant get it done at a dealer, and if you can your looking at $400+
I got a guy that has clusters, will offer the milage transfer and can also put colored LEDs in the cluster to really set it off

how much would your friend be charging? it doesnt have to be all colorful but if it doesnt cost much ill get it sort of like yours..
