1960 Impala horn button

Very desperate to hear from anyone who has/had a '60 Impala. Need to find out how horn button goes in steering column properly. Does the spring loaded brass button always contact the concave spring disc? The kits they sell are not for 60's. Does anyone have a old one they want to sell
