Default 2000 Impala dies while drivng

A few weeks ago my Impala died while stopped at a stop light. After a handful of tries it started again. I was able to drive it again that day with no problem. The next morning it wouldnt start at all. The engine wouldn't turn over. I talked to a mechanic friend and he said that it could be the fuel pump. So I replaced it. And my car started again. I drove it around a bit. Then later that day, it wouldn't start again. So I replaced the fuel fliter. And it started again. But that didn't last long. Now I am really not sure what it could be. And I dont really have the money to go to a mechanic and them find a whole mess of stuff wrong. Has anyone ever had this type of problem? And could maybe tell me what it could be.

And one more weird thing. One of the time I got it started again, I turned on the radio and then it died.
