2000 impala overheating
i just bought an 2000 impala from private owner, i drove it for about 20 mins then it started over heating. i looked on dash it said low coolant level i looked into the hood oil was ok not milky. but i checked coolant reservoir. it had water in it and the tank had rusty looking substance on the sides of it and the radiator cap had rust on it. there was also a white powder like substance of some parts of the engine.fan was blowing. radiator looked pretty good. i was told it should be flushed. i also noticed water in coolant tank was high but after about 15 mins the water level had dropped(car was off)im fearing that it may have a blown head gasket. i have not seen and white smoke come out exhaust pipe but still not sure im very stressed out i saved for a long time and now i buy a peace of junk thats over heating
