2000 IMPALA REAR END PROBLEM
Hey everyone!
New to the forum because I just purchased a 2000 Chevrolet Impala w/Police Package from the Gwinnette County Fleet out of Lawrenceville,Ga.
Car runs great mechanically with only me having to put a new altenator and do a complete tune up.
There is one issue that I see with the vehicle and I need some opinions from you all on what it might be.
When I drive the car over small street bumps or when there is a difference in pavement texture, the rear end of the car starts to slide a bit and the rear end vibrates hard from the bump or when the tires catch back on the pavement. Kinda like hydroplaning on a wet surface but not as bad.
One mechanic tells me it may be the rear shock bad and another friend says it may be the rear bushings?
Any help or ideas that could be causing this issue?
Thanks in advance.
