2000 Impala Turn signal disabling startup
I have an odd issue with my 2000 Impala, cannot find anyone with this similiar issue anywhere. What happens is when i use the turn signal to turn left or right it will snap into place but no signal light will come on, instead i hear a buzzing sound coming from instrument panel area. Put the turn signal switch back into a neutral position and buzzing goes away, then back into up or down position and buzzing comes back again. This only happens sometimes. Once it starts it's buzzing the only way to make it go away is press the break pedal.
The second part of this that makes it really strange is that once it starts buzzing and i shut the car off, the car will not turn back on, unless i press the break pedal down.
I thought it was the break pedal switch but i replaced it and still does same exact thing. I'm out of ideas and hoping that i'm overlooking something very simple, hopefully someone knows what this issue could be and how to fix it. Thank you

Hey i had the same issue several months ago and my problem was with the ABS and the ignition module or switch. When i used turn signal there was the loud buzzing and it would go away if you keep forcing it. Plus after about a few weeks of this the car would not crank or start anymore as it weakens i guess. Once that switch was changed it worked fine. Does ABS pop up when the buzzing starts??
