2001 Impala, What do these DTC codes mean?
I have a 2001 Impala with lots of issues, to put it mildly. I have 4 codes that are showing on the scanner, and also it has issues with accleration and is getting progressively louder. What specifically do these codes tell me is wrong. The scanner only gives a brief description.
P0131 02 Signal Low Bank 1 Sensor 1
P0404 EGR Feedback Signal out of Range
P0463 Fuel Level Sensor Circuit Signal High/Open
P1189 Engine Oil Pressure Switch Circuit
P0131 02 Signal Low Bank 1 Sensor 1

P1189 Engine Oil Pressure Switch Circuit

Welcome to the forum!
Well lets see, does the noise sound like an exaust leak? are all your fuses good?
It helps if we have more info on your vehicle, motor size, model type, etc..

Well an exaust leak will cause your o2 system to get all wacky and the EGR system, sounds like you have a good leak or break in the exaust system someware between the manifold and the cat. Look around and see if you can pinpoint it, look for black carbon buildup on the pipes or around the manifold, or you can try to feel for the leak with your hand, just be careful. Your oil and fuel codes might be a separate problem, unless the exaust leak burnt some wires to the sensors.

That just might be it. If the exhaust manifold is leaking, and we replace it, would it possibly correct the O2 and EGR problem? What's the chance of that? Or would we most likely have to replace the O2 sensor and EGR valve. Also, can you tell from the codes which O2 sensor it is?

Its hard to tell not actually looking at it, fix the leak and clear the codes, if they come back there is more to look into. I feel your EGR & O2 codes will clear with the manifold repair.
