Default 2004 3.4L engine issues.

I recently had the thermostat changed on my car, and after that when I start the car it sputters, or acts like it wants to stall and once I give it some gas it comes out of it, or put it into drive and start moving. This has been going on for several weeks but nothing severe has come of it, until last night when the engine light was flashing at me. Not solid, but just a flash on and off. I shut the car off, checked the oil to see how it looked, not dirty and plenty in there. Started the car back up, no sputter, no engine light. It seems to do this after I have let the car set for a few hours. But the engine light is a new issue within the last 24 hours. The car has around 94K on it, and I was going to take it in for a 100K tune up when that mileage came. Do you guys have any idea what kind of problem this could be? Also when the thermostat was changed, he did a radiator flush and changed from the orange dex cool to normal green coolant. So, I'm not sure if that could have an effect either. I appreciate any help, thanks guys.

have the codes scanned. Could be an issue with the coolant temp sensor....maybe it didn't get plugged back in?

ive actually had the same problem recently. it seems like the throttle is hesiating or the transmission is not shifting gears quick enough.
How much does it cost to get your codes scanned?

ive also had the problem that when i accelerate, the transmission seems to not shift or hesitate. And when Im idle at a stop light it seems to sputter?
so the easiest thing to do is get the codes scanned? Im just trying to figure out how much it may cost once i see what the problem is..

thanks
