my 05 impala has a problem with water pooling in the backseat passenger on the floor and under the front passenger seat. i have not found any openings in the weatherstripping along the doors or windows. i have also not found any damage underneath. ive heard that this is caused by a piece of weatherstriping above the cabin airfilter. ive also heard this issue can cause blower motor issues. so i fixed the trim above the cabin airfilter and vaccumed out the water with a shopvac. another thing i think is related is 2 of the bulbs on my climate control console are burnt out, has any one else ever heard of these things, and may i be looking for two different issues?

 

does the car have a sunroof? The drain tubes for the sunroof can detach and leak water into the car.
