2007 impala ltz hydroplain light
if its the light that show the car wnad a couple squiggle lines, that your Traction control light, and your car should make a funny sound as the ABS kicks in....there is no 'hydroplane' light....where are you located, it dont usually come on in wet weather unless your tires are bald or your flying down the highway, its more for snow in the north.
Yes it's the Traction Control Light. It comes on when the car hydroplanes on the road, speed doesn't matter the light comes on going 10 or 65 mpg, but only comes onwhen hydroplaning. Please note that the car is 5 months old still good tread on the originaltires. I driven a fair share of cars, but this car can hydroplane on a drop of rain on a sunny day. And when the light comes on there no sudden kick or noise like the car is trying to correct a problem. It's just frustrating because no dealership knows what it could be. And I live in TEXAS.
is your ABS light coming on as well, its all tied together so if something goes wrong with the Traction control, your ABS should go as well, I ahd to replace this in my Malibu around the 6 month mark, lost my ABS and T/C...but like I said you should get a ABS light as well...
depending on tires as well, I have seen NEW tires hydroplane bad, and Im have seend seom US vehicles we get, not the greatest tires.
basically your TC light will flash EVERY time you lose traction, BUT it should kick the ABS on as well to comphensate, unless its just for a couple seconds.
