Default 2010 Impala LT

Heater works fine when car is moving but when stopped at stop light or idling it blows cold air. Once moving again and it works just fine. Any suggestions as to what might be the problem ?

I'm sorry to hear of the inconvenience with your Impala. You may have a problem with your HVAC system, possibly the heater core. Coolant is another possibility. These are just suggestions, it is not a diagnosis.

I recommend you take the vehicle in for an inspection. If the vehicle is still under warranty, you should have no issues getting it repaired.

Keep us posted. If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact me.

Generally that would be caused by low coolant or a restricted heater core. How many miles on car? Seems awfully new for that problem.

The car has just over 48M miles on it. Really seems to soon to have heater core problems, but stranger things have happened.
