2013 Transmission and Engine oil refil
Caution. What should be a normal service stop for a simple oil and filter service could be a disaster if the attendant overfills the engine or transmission fluid. Some service stations are using bulk engine oil to refill. If not measured accurately it could be overfilled. I have had to remove engine oil after more than one occasion. Not fun! One must also be sure the correct oil is being used. I have been told that the oil galleries in some new vehicles are so small the the wrong viscosity oil will damage the engine. Some full service O&F deals allow the mechanic to check and refill transmission fluid. At my last service stop the well meaning attendant wanted to add transmission fluid thinking it was low. I wouldn't allow that but what happens when you are not there? The owners manual also specifically prohibits flushing the engine yet you still get recommendations from the service manager for that. Be careful guys. Another point: don't let them "check" your air filter. You know basically when a new one is due. They could damage something if they are not careful. These are not your grandpas cars! Read and follow the owners manual. Least to say I just did an O&F myself. Took 6QTS exactly to the mark
