Default 2014-15 Impala LTZ performance exhaust upgrade?

We are thinking about buying the 2014 or even 2015 Impala LTZ, with the V-6 305 HP engine. Right now we have an 06 Impala SS, and one of the things we enjoy on that car is the rumble of the OEM exhaust system Chevrolet factory installed on that car. The 2014 Impala naturally have a very quiet exhaust system. Too quiet for us. Has anyone bought a 2014-2015 Impala with the V-6 and has installed a performance type of exhaust? I see Magnaflow is making one. I am wondering if anyone has installed one (or even another manufacturer) and how you like it.

Quiet only at idle. My stock exhaust sounds awesome when you hammer it.

Good luck with that. The interior was made to be quiet with triple sealed doors to keep out the noise.

The only vehicle with a modified exhaust is my 80' Cutlass with a 350 Olds. Mildly modified and dual exhaust with Thrush Turbo mufflers and an H pipe. Nothing spectacular but it ran and sounded great! My other vehicles were stone stock. An 89' FS Bronco with a 302, a 98' GMC Jimmy, an 04' Impala bought new and an 08' TrailBlazer that I drive now and a few others that are of no real interest except to say they transported me reliably to work every day.

The big 95' SS was a favorite of mine back when, very cool car!

hmmm... before you reminisce about the good ol' V8 days, consider what a couple of decades of automotive engineering development can do...

1995 Chevy Impala SS
powertrain: 5.7L V8 / 4 spd auto
power: 260 hp
torque: 330 ft-lb
mpg: 15/23
weight: 4060 lbs
performance: 6.9 / 15.2*

2014 Chevy Impala V6
powertrain: 3.6L V6 / 6 spd auto
power: 305 hp
torque: 277 ft-lb
mpg: 19/29
weight: 3850 lbs
performance: 6.1 / 14.6*

It seems the torque deficit can be offset with a lighter car and a modern transmission.

Which is why I also enjoy my modified 12.5 second LT1 f-body.

I guess I'm not the only one who thinks the stock exhaust sounds incredible (when you hammer the pedal, anyways)

From car and driver magazine:

There’s a bit of verve under the hood as well. Chevrolet claims it has the most powerful naturally aspirated six in the segment, and its 305 horsepower tops the 260 horses of that old Impala SS’s 5.7-liter V-8. The 3.6’s 264 lb-ft (predictably) lag behind the eight’s 330 lb-ft of grunt, but the V-6’s soundtrack barely does. This engine is also employed in rear-drive Cadillacs and Chevrolets, but engineering teams for those cars might think about adopting the different induction and exhaust setups of the transverse-mounted unit. The Impala has one of the best V-6 soundtracks anywhere in the business: deep and growly, with none of the discordant hum or harsh vibrations that afflict so many sixes. The V-6’s torque peak is high, but there’s enough power at lower revs and the engine is so linear that we hardly noticed. This segment doesn’t get too caught up in numbers, but the Impala’s 6.0-second 0-to-60 and 14.8-second quarter-mile times are among the leaders.
