2014 impala 3.6l v6 - E85 differences?
Just wondering...as some write ups online say E85 is 'standard'.
My gas cap is black, not yellow. I don't have the flex fuel label on the rear passenger window.
So any reason why not all are E85? Early build? Late build? Parts not available so send out a gas only model?

Was at the Washington DC 2014 auto show.. the 2014 impala (12/2013 build , USA) there had the yellow gas cap for e85, and the under hood sticker said it was Gasoline/Ethanol.
My 10/2013 build (USA) has black, and the underhood sticker only says for Gasoline.
I took some pictures of the engine bay - and don't see differences.. must be internal/or fuel line related.
Just makes me wonder the rhyme or reason for gas only build or gas/e85 build at the same price. Why not E85 them all?
you won't see and differences externally. Ethanol corrodes normal fuels system components....injectors, pumps, fuel lines etc so these components are made from different materials.
I'll see if I can find out. is your car a new body style 14 like the post title or old body style 13? What engine?

my fuel economy is 1 mpg less and i'm expected to pay $1000 more vs $500 on the e85 model.
cars are same price.
It's a 1.
