2014 Impala owners: what's your ACTUAL MPG
Hi, thanks for posting this subject I have been wanting to know this myself.
As for me I have the 3.6L V6 (2LTZ). My MPG are between about 19 - 22 I have used the computer and calculated gallons used verses miles driven myself. My daily drive is about half city and half highway. I would say I have a bit of a heavy foot and do enjoy my 305 hp.
I had hoped for a bit better milage, I had gotten better in my 2011 Toyota Avalon but I enjoy my Impala so much more I really don't mind much. If I want better MPG all I have to do is lighten up on the gas peddle a bit.
Thanks,
James

Well, I finally pulled the trigger, got it 2 days before Thanksgiving. Got an LT with the 6 cylinder, since I had so many people tell me I would want the 6. Since I could afford this car, then the extra $250 or so per year in fuel I figure it will cost me won’t break me. The first tank I got 24.0, my driving is rural, and I am very easy on both throttle and brakes, and I was pleased enough since the salesman sat me in the car (running) for 35 minutes while showing me how to operate stuff. Next tank was running around town more, cold weather, only 23.4, a bit disappointed. If it can benefit others who are trying to decide and wondering-- as much as I “get on it”, I probably would have been happier with the 4 cyl. and 3 MPG better. I test drove them both, and power wise, could hardly tell the difference. Probably just me. Anyway, it is a great looking (Crystal Red Tincoat, w/“Titanium” microfiber leather int.), good handling car.
I'm strongly considering a 2014 Impala. I keep my cars a long time, and would like to know: 1) what engine your's is, 2) what your MPG is, 3) if you go by the computer, or are calculating MPG by hand when you fill up, and 4) what kind of driving you do.
Thanks very much!!
Thanks very much!!
15.52 mpg.. Car reported 16.0 at fillup on trip.
A little spirited driving. .But one Can only go so far before encountering cars or a red light.
Lifetime 19.45mpg.. 735 miles. About 400 freeway.
Hit 27.11mpg on one of those freeway only tanks.
My engine is the 2.5 4 cyl. Average MPG 32, over time I use the computer and calculate every tank full manually, they are both very close. My driving is both freeway and city. On the freeway I drive btw. 60-65. Never jump start at traffic lights, rarely ever speed on the freeway. Hope that helps to make your decision. GREAT automobile. Chevy has made MAJOR strides with the Impala. I have owned this one since June 2013 and love it. My Impala is an LTZ White Diamond Triple Coat and looks very classy. I am Very impressed with its Power, it is much faster than I expected. I was hesitant about buying a 4cyl but I am VERY impressed with its power, I have kicked it in the butt a couple of times and it will set you back in your seat. Plenty of power for my needs.

I finally pulled the trigger and got one a couple days before Thanksgiving. Got an LT with a 6 cyinder. I have run several tanks of gas through it, best I've got so far only 26.8; but nothing below 20. But I am easy on the gas, and very easy on the brakes. The weather has been quite cold, so I expect it will be significantly better in warmer weather. I haven't checked the milage last couple tanks. The computer is very close. Will report again in a few weeks.
