Default 3800 Series II Motor: What is this?

Hi there. I am new to this forum. A proud owner of a 2003 Chevrolet Impala LS.

I believe this may be some sort of vacuum line, but I'm not sure. Here is a picture below. (Not my motor.) It has a little tear in it, big enough to display a "check engine" light on the dash. Any help would be appreciated.

Mine was cracked as well causing issues. I put a glob of RTV over it and left it dry before I ran the car again. It held up until the replacement arrived at my dealer.

Do you only have codes p0171 and p0174 for the check engine light?
