Default Air Conditioning on 2k Impala acting strange

I am new to the forums.

I can't remember when this started happening, but my air conditioning in my 2001 Impala has started to act strange.
The air is cold, but it doesn't start to flow noticeably out of the duct until I turn it onto the third highest setting.
Last year, I remember that my air conditioning was pretty strong on the first setting, but now there is not discernible air flow on settings one and two. I have approximately 75,000 miles with this car.

Any suggestions on what the issue might be?

Thank you in advance!

I had a similar problem with my 98 Montana. It's probably the fan switch. I began to notice the fan wouldn't work at certain settings. Once the switch was replaced, the fan worked at all speeds.

i would suggest replacing the fan resistor, which controls the fan speed and when it wears out, you lose the lower speeds first. it's located below the glove box on my 2001 impala (probably the same on the 2000). Bob dem
