Default '97 Venture LS, No Air Conditioning

With the engine running, the A/C compressor doesn't engage when I push the A/C button on the dash. The light on the button comes on when it is pushed. The fuse is not blown on the fuse panel.
Any ideas?

I would have to assume that the freon is probably low. You can take off the sensor at the accumulator and jump it to see if the clutch will pull in.

I hadAC issues earlier this summer. I can only imagine how those type of issues could be more problematic later on during the hot months.I would first recommend checking the compressor clutch circuit to see if it's working properly. If that's okay then I would suggest checking thecompressor clutch itself. Good luck.

it definately could be the compressor or just low on r134a. check the clutch first for it to be visibly broken and then check the r134a level. If necessary and it is low you could jump the relay to get the compressor to run while you fill.
