Default Brake code, sticker gone

Have a 2002 base impala. 3.4l no cruise control, no abs. Needs all 4 rotors and pads.
Was asked for the brake code(i think it only matters for the fronts) and looked in the trunk: it looks like the sticker was torn off by a prior owner.
How can i determine the code?

you need the rpo regular production option build sheet. Impalas may put on the bottom side of the spare tire cover. Its a white rectangular sticker with 3 character codes on it.

not sure why you need this code...any parts store can look it up without it.

I dont know why they want it either, but the price offered for the full set warrants getting that information.
I will look for it where you suggested.

I looked in the trunk on the backside of the spare cover...the only sticker/label was/is directions on tire changing. There were however some number embossed into the hard board...
Nothing resembling the brake code.
I was told that if the brake code could be ID'd as either JA9 or JB9 the kit they have will fit.

Here's what the RPO sticker looks like. This is from my retired 2005. I don't remember for sure, but I don't recall mine being in the trunk.
Check the glove box, trunk lid, door posts, doors...
