a 2008 impala.....car is running......i step on the brakes......gear shift will not move. could it be the brake switch or something else. it will not move no matter what i do.

 

What mileage is your vehicle at? Either the 3 year 36,000 mile bumper to bumper or the 5 year 100,000 mile powertrain warranty should cover this issue, under normal circumstances. If you do go to your dealership for this could you keep me up to date on how the repair goes for you? Thank you.
