Wink a/c compressor stopped , help

hi guys , need some help, last week , my 2003 impala
a/c compressor worked fine , ok it may
could use a boost, but it went on and pumped, you could hear the pump, now nothing , any ideas ?
are there any fusses ?
if so where are they ?

I read this to mean the clutch isn't engaging? There is a fuse marked A/C, however if you suspect a low charge, that's probably why the clutch won't engage. I'd pull the electrical connection from the clutch, give it a good cleaning with non conductive electrical cleaner. Most parts stores have. Reconnect, if it still won't engage, have the system charge checked.

hi , in the old freon days you would be able to jump the connections with
a paper clip to get the pump to engage , can you still do this ??
