Default Dash lights flickering

Okay I have a 2003 impala 3.4L 140,000 miles I notice when I'm merging onto the highway that my odometer flickers a bit under hard acceleration. Is this a sign of the alternating going up?

yeah that would be my first guess is the alt. goin out go to autozone or advanced auto or o'reily and they can check your alt. and battery for free and that will let you know if neither of those are bad check back in and we'll see what we can come up with

As stated above, but also just loose cables will do it also, but having the stuff check out is a good idea...just make sure them cables are nice and tight and snug. They don't like any looseness what so ever.
