Daytime lamps
Hi guys,
Sorry if this question has already been asked. Today, I took my 2004 Impala for the 60.000 mile service and the mechanic turned the lights off. How can I turn the daytime lights back on? I have never done that, because I did not have to. I had this car in October 2012 and I never had to turn them lights off or on.
Thanks for your help.

Optimus,
I am sorry you are having this concern. According to page 3-15 of your owners manual it states:
A light sensor on top of the instrument panel makes the daytime running lamps work, so be sure it is not covered. The DRL system’s automatic headlamp control will
make your high-beam headlamps come on at a reduced
brightness when the following conditions are met:
• The ignition is on,
• the exterior lamps control is off and
• the gearshift is not in PARK (P).
Hope this helps.
