i want to install an HID kit

how do i disable the headlights from turning on when i press the remote button to open the doors?

Not sure what year you are on, so it might be different, but on my 2004 LS, if you access the system settings through the radio (turn it off, hold the "DISP" button for a few seconds), you can actually go through and set what happens when you use the remote entry features. I cant remember exactly what its called, but if you look around I'm sure you can find it.

 

yeah something about having car off and holding the button down for a few sec. will get you into the menu where you control a bunch of stuff

 

turn your key on acc. and press and hold the tune button untill settings come up. press the next button till you see fob lights and hit the tune button again and it should do what your wanting.
