Can I have the resonator removed or do i need it? SOrry about all the questions, but i guess i want it done right and done to make it sound the best

 

I took mine off, it gives off more drone and interior noise

 

Another thing, I am still part of the g6performance forums I asked them all pretty much the same questions, and they disagree that my Impala doesn't have a downpipe. TO be honest IDK what one is, but i hear people and read about people talking about one. What is it?

 

Impala doesnt have a downpipe? Haha. Then wtf is going from the mainfolds to the cat?

they must be a bunch of idiots over at that other forum. EVERY vehicle has a downpipe. WTF????

the DP is the pipe that comes off the exhaust manifolds and connects the manifolds to the rest of the exhaust.

sauce and i both have aftermarket DPs on our imps. and i did the same as sauce and removed the resonator. it is alot louder inside the car without the res but i dont mind it. i just turn the radio up louder!

sauce, i forgot but what mufflers you have?(never mind, you got magnaflows, duh!)

and FWIW, with no resonator and the flowmaster 40s its going to be LOUD!!!! yeah, flowmaster 40 FTMFW!!!

 

So they are telling you that you have one? if so , no one is an idiot, they are right. Who said you didnt have one? or did you think that?

 

i think he told them about replacing the DP and they were telling him that his imp doesnt have one.

They told him he doesnt have a downpipe. Maybe they will say next he doesnt have a 5.3 v8 next?

IDK why i said they disagree that i dont have one. I must have been high or something (not really because i dont smoke anything). But i ordered my flowmaster 40 series this morning, 2.5" in/out. Hopefully i'll have them on by the end of the week....if they get here that fast. Free shipping.
