1) Does the gearbox communicate with the inside of the left axle shaft?
Is the inner half of the left half shaft hollow? Lubricated by gearbox oil?

2)With the right axis too?

im so confused as to what your asking. what are you trying to figure out? besides if they communicate

No, it is packed with grease, the shafts are solid.

 

if the boot/s are busted replace the whole shaft with a new or rebuilt unit
