my impala ss was crash into i change the front end now i got everything put back together but when i turn the key nothing happen the radio comes on dash light comes on but it wont crank and when im tryin to use the dash setting its saying available in park so thats when i notice the gear indicator was not around the park sigh and the car is in park and it lets ,e take the key out still so if anybody know anything please help

 

Welcome from florida. Sounds like it could be the neutral switch which only lets it start in neutral or park. You said the gear indicator does not say it is in park so that might be the problem.

Not sure about the Impala, but usually it is on the side of the transmission where the cable attaches.

 

When I acquired my 2007 Impala SS, about a month after I purchased it (used in 2016), The car also would not start..... doing some research, a wire under the center console was broken. Spliced it together, wrapped in electrical tape and never had an issue again.
