Default Impala Alternator....

I am looking to put a higher amp alternator in my Malibu. I was curious if anyone knows how many amps the Impala alternator puts out and if the mounts are the same. Or if someone could take a pic of their alternator so I can see if I can customize a bracket that would be awesome.

Basically with all features on (when it's raining so the wipers are going and a/c is on) it puts quite a draw on the alternator causing dimming if I sit still too long. The idea I am twisting around in my head is to wire it so I can have the fog-lights on, the headlights on and the high beams on when ever I flip the switch for the high beams. I don't need to do it because my headlights are really bright anyways, but it would benefit me greatly being that I live in the middle of no where and there are deer everywhere.

Impala and Malibu arent close to the same.
FYI Stock alternator output and style

00 and 01 Impala - CS130D alternator (stock 102 amps)

02 and 03 Impala - AD230 alternator (stock 105 amps)

04 and 05 Impala - either a Bosch IR/IF unit or AD230 (stock 105 amps) (Bosch and AD230 have the same body style)

The 9C1s have the 125 amp as stated

The "4 different ids" is due to the fact that the 3.4 and 3.8 use different mounting brackets.

I could fab one, but there is no point. They have the same output. I would be willing to bet they are the same company, design and everything, they just mount differently.

There is a compnay out of texas that sells high output alternators on E-Bay. I can't think of the name right now, but I know they are good to deal with and sell a quality product. I got a 400amp alternator for an Acura Integra that I put a stereo into and it worked great

Wow 400 amps? You would have to have a serious sound system to make that thing dim or atleast have it wired wrong lol. That thing has got to be hard to turn. I would imagine it would shred the belt. I will look into it. Thanks shawn.

Well it looks like there is only one company selling alternators for your vehicle. This is not the company I dealt with though, so you'll have to make the call.
They are selling 200amp alternators for $200.
