These cars were quite something. Built like a truck and indestructible. They were rated to pull 5000 pounds. Today all the cars are rated for 1000 pounds.Gas millage was quite good for these big cars.

My '03 Impala just turned over 325K miles.

Original engine and transmission. Have only had upper gaskets replaced on the engine and the valve body replaced on the transmission.

Just replaced the original left rear wheel bearing, so now all have been replaced.

Just put on the 5th set of tires.

This is without a doubt the best car I've ever had in my 46 years of driving..... and it still gets 30+ mpg.

2001 Impala. 151,000KM (93827 miles).

Replaced the Upper Plenum Gasket, intake manifold, intake manifold gasket (TWICE -- guess i deserve it for replacing with an OEM part), standard repairs (stabilizer bar, tie rod ends... ) but gasket aside, nothing major, knock on wood.

had an issue last week with it not cranking (going to replace the ignition switch maybe next week --it's worked since I got it going once a few hours later) and all doors but the drivers not unlocking, so gotta figure that out too.. for the most part, I've had the car 7 years and can't really complain too much about it.
