Default 2007 chev impala with flickering lights

we purchased a 2007 impala in dec 2006 , this flicker thing seems to have gotten worse but it does seem to correlate to the 3 cylinders/6cylinders changing back and forth. right now it is at a local garage who have a tech. service bulletin from g.m. with a $233 fix. it involves a different ignition coil and a strap of some sort. with all the reported problems why didnt or doesnt g.m issure a recal and fix it for all of us impala owners.

well there is no tsb no. but our 2007 impala now has a new ignition coil and grd strap which is suppose to fix the dimming light problem, i certainly hope so,but i still think with all the complaints that this problem should be a recall. ron
