Default Location of wiper pulse control module on a 2004 Impala

Hi all,

The wiper intermittent function is acting up on my 2004 Impala. Low and high settings work fine. I removed the wipers, and cover panel right below and the windshield and can see the wiper arms and a little bit of what I believe to be the motor. I see a electrical connector on the back side. However I don't see anything that looks like a control panel I looked one up at a autoparts store so I believe I know what I might be looking for. Does anyone know where this intermittent control panel is located. Do I need to remove the wiper motor to replace it. Thanks in advance for any advice.
