Default OPEN TRUNK ON 08 IF BATTERY FAILS??

I HAVE AN 08 IMPALA LS THAT DOES NOT HAVE THE REAR FOLDING SEAT OPTION, AND AS IT HAS NO KEY LOCK TO OPEN THE TRUNK, I AM WONDERING WHAT WOULD ALLOW ME TO OPEN THE TRUNK IF THE BATTERY OR THE SOLENOID FAILED?

i wasnt aware the basic LS cannot lower the seatbacks.....
guessIm lucky with the 3LS....
But- I once went running........ I got out did my stretching- and placed keys in the trunk while I stretched. I then closed the trunk........
HOLY CRAP........ here I am 30 miles from home. keys in trunk. (a 1970 Monte carlo). I did have the drivers door open.
I ended up having to dismount the rear seatback on the car. I struggled...... but it finally came off. the car had a few small openings- I was able to stick my arm thru and eventually reached the keys.........
Maybe your impala has a quick method for removing the seatback?
