The power steering is hard to turn at idle and the pump wines at any RPM when turning. The pump and rack have been replaced along with bleeding air out of the system. The mechanic said the incorrect pump was installed and the electronic power assist was missing. I tryed to locate the information about electronic steering assist. I found for a Fleetwood. However, would there not be a code for this if the system was disconnected or the sensor went out?
Can anyone tell me if a 2001 Impala LS came with this and how it works?
