Rear door handle removal 2008 Impala
The right rear door lock failed. In order to replace I need to take out the door latching assembly. How do I get the handle disconnected from the assembly? Thanks in advance. Doggie28

There should be a clip that you have to remove before the handle is liberated from the assembly. It's been a while since I have replaced the door lock on an Impala so I'll try to expand on the procedure whenever I have more free time
The aforementioned clip is shown as ref #22 in the diagram below:
