ImpalaWhile undergoing many facelifts in its history, the Impala has proved itself to both civilians and police forces as one of the most capable 4-door cars GM has ever offered. Currently moving towards its 10th generation the Impala is one of the longest lasting and popular models.
Anyone know if there is a seal that I can replace in this part of the rack? Fluid is dripping down from the boot when I turn the wheel. And when trying to bleed the system, there's a sucking sound from there.
Thanks - I've read that just replacing seals is not dependable since the rack may be worn too much to seal properly. Since mine has 298K on it I'll try an ACDelco reman
I got the ACDelco 36R0400 off Amazon for $247 minus a $100 rebate when they get the core . They pay return shipping and it goes in the same box. Just take it to a UPS drop off. As usual, Amazon says it's not for my 2003 Impala but it's installed and doing fine though I've never had so much trouble getting the pressure line back into the pump. I looked today and it's gone up to $293 and the rebate is still there.
