Has anyone switched to using Synthetic Engine Oil? I just got my car 2 days ago and in about 2800 miles ill be changing my oil and switching to Royal purple full Synthetic.

I have 33,540 miles on the car in case it matters.

 

Yep, my 06 Silverado began running synthetic after about the first 1500 miles, my 2011 Silverado switched it to synthetic at around 1000 miles. You'll be just fine.

 

Alright cool, my dads '08 Silverado 4.3 is running with Royal purple and he's extended his oil changes to every 5,000 miles. We changed it the other day and it was still purple and slick. Its amazing how long synthetic will last.
